I am a board-certified, Internal medicine physician committed to restoring the doctor–patient relationship through thoughtful, relationship-centered care.
After years working within traditional healthcare systems, I saw how rushed visits and insurance constraints often limit meaningful care.
I founded Sagauro Direct Care to provide something different: direct access and transparency without the middleman. My goal is simple: to deliver modern, evidence-based medicine in a way that feels personal and accessible.
As the Founder of Saguaro Direct Care, my vision is to restore the doctor–patient relationship by delivering personalized, transparent, and evidence-based medical care without the constraints of traditional insurance-driven systems.
Following the devastating earthquake in Nepal, he participated in a medical mission providing critical medical aid and mental health services to affected communities. His humanitarian work was recognized in “DO Care” magazine, reflecting his dedication to service both locally and globally.
Outside of medicine, I value community, family, lifelong learning, and staying active in the Arizona outdoors.

Dr. Akhter believes mental health care should be individualized, compassionate, and collaborative. She takes time to understand each patient’s symptoms, life circumstances, and goals before creating a treatment plan. Her approach combines clinical experience with personalized care, helping patients feel heard, supported, and empowered in their healing.
